My name is Mike Trenk, as a therapist, I work with you to help you identify your desires and empower you to make those positive changes in your life. I understand that making the decision to seek help can be difficult, so I use an approach that is compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental to help create an environment where you feel supported in your counseling journey.
I began my journey in the counseling field by helping children and adolescents working as an In Home Therapist. I discovered my passion is helping individuals, families and couples work and engage in their lives and relationships by overcoming struggles in life. I continued from my work in In Home Therapy to working in an outpatient setting for the last few years, where I have continued to work with adolescents and children along with families and adults as well.
My specialties in training are Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Play therapy, client focused, narrative therapy and recently certified in motivational interviewing therapy. I currently focus my practice in helping adult individuals to adolescents overcome anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, to name a few.
